Getting started: publishing with GitHub and Cloudflare
A first site note: content lives on GitHub, and Cloudflare Pages publishes the main site.
This blog started as a small site. The original pages provided a privacy policy and support information. Now posts have a place of their own, too.
How it is published
Posts are Markdown files in the GitHub repository. Jekyll builds the site, and updates to main publish to gptbert.com. GitHub Pages continues to serve the original gptbert.github.io address.
Cloudflare Pages gives pull requests a preview URL. That makes it possible to check layout and links before publishing.
What comes next
I’ll use this space to record software projects, tools, and what I learn from them. I want each post to explain the problem, the work, and how I checked the result.
